He has master's degrees in Science and Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's degree in engineering from NED University, Karachi. Amer is currently part of Intel’s Network and Edge Group Strategy team. During his career, he has served as VP GM of Marvell's Security Business Unit, leading a team of over 200 professionals with over $100M in revenue, and VP of Corporate Development at Cavium, where he completed over $1B of acquisitions significantly increasing shareholder value. Amer co-founded and served as CEO of Doctella in 2014, a company he grew until its acquisition by Masimo in 2018. Today, Doctella is known as Masimo SafetyNet, a SaaS remote patient monitoring (RPM) solution that provides home-based monitoring for over 1,000 hospitals. The solution was used by over 1M patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. |
